Hi
I just returned from my bow hunting trip. It was awesome. Our destination was Sandhurst Safaris , the owner showed us to our rooms which was great . The first morning I was up early and we left for the blind at about 6:45 AM. At 8:30 AM a herd of kudu cows came in and were at the blind until lunch. Just before we left for lunch , we saw 2 oryx coming to the blind they stopped at the salt lick each opposite to each other 30 meters away . My dad told me I should shoot the one on the left which was the bigger sized one. So I pulled back my bow , aimed and released the arrow and watched as it disappeared through the heart , it jumped into the air and then walked a few meters and fell. As I was celebrating I realised the other one had not moved from its place so I told my dad To shoot it. He pulled back and shot it. It ran about 150 meters and fell. After 15 minutes of waiting we left the blind and took photos and contacted the guide who came and took both the oryx to the slaughter house to skin it.
I was very proud of this animal as it was my 6th animal now. I will post my photos after I upload it from my camera to my PC. Please comment. Sorry for any spelling errors etc.
