After gotten re-bitten by the shooting/hunting/collecting/researching bugs I joined after reading the forums for a few months now.
Grew up in a family of mostly collectors, and I am fortunate to have inherited a couple classic British sporting rifles from my father who was spoke most highly of George Caswell and Steve Barnett. Highlights of my collection are a Rigby in .275 Rigby from 1924, a Jeffery in .333 Jeffery, and a Winchester model 70 super grade in 458 (love shoothing her).
Took the Rigby to the range this past weekend and got hooked again. Also took my 8 year old daughter out for herfirst time with a Savage Rascal.
Sent many rounds down range with a Whitworth 375H&H growing up and regret selling it (graduate school took precedence at the time)
Have been debating on trading the Jeffery for another from the period in 375H&H since the 333 is proving to be a true exercise in patience in finding reloading supplies and data. I’ve got 15 rounds from Kynoch but don’t want to spend then until I can reload more.
Looking forward to the education from the group!
