Johannesburg Airport Hotel Recommendations

AfricaSky 2x .... Afton Guest house all gets high marks.... they are 10 minute drive from jnb.... if staying at airport. There are a couple of options. Marriott has property connected to airport on other side. Easy option. It’s not named Marriott, but sister property.

That’s the Protea Transit Hotel. I believe that you cannot leave the airport staying there.

I do agree Afrian Sky and Afton are both IMO very nice and close but I have been threatened with bodily by my better half if we get back into a vehicle after the flight. Been there done that, so just looking at the 2 located within walking distance. Haven't ate at Quills yet so no matter the lodge we go with I'm sure we will end up there for a bite.

That’s the Protea Transit Hotel. I believe that you cannot leave the airport staying there.

Correct. I've stayed at the Protea, it's nice. I used it as a day room when I had a 7 hour layover. You can only use it if you are connecting on an international flight, not a domestic flight within RSA.
