I stayed at Africa Sky Guest House, it isn't far from the airport and I felt secure. Place seemed older, but was fine. Consisted of something like little condo villas. Sleeping room with sitting area, refer, TV, separate toilet in room, separate tub/shower/sink in room.

At the utilized exchange rate (approx R7.3 per $) the prices were:

-$93.15 overnight stay including "to order" b-fast and b-fast buffet

-$20.55 airport pick up (and return if needed)

-$20.55 dinner buffet. It was OK. Compared to the soaking I'd heard others received elsewhere I thought this was acceptable.

-$1.10 each for a couple bottles of water.

Must ask for phone/internet connectivity. Good, friendly, attentive service.

My total overnight stay including VAT came to $136.44. I was ok with that.

Hope this is helpful. Feel free to contact me if questions.

I'll be sharing my full day by day journal on my blog, below.

happy hunting, dv

They also now provide assistance with gun permits for about the same price as other agents. I have stayed here three times now and will likely stay there again.

My wife and I spent three days there in May. One on the way over and 2 on the way back. Food was excellent and rooms were very nice. Even had heat and air conditioning which we have found missing in some of the other establishments. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I will stay there again when I return.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
