I used a 243 for my last Stego hunt. (Don’t worry CEH, it was a de-spiked male well past breeding age ranch hunt ). I considered the venerable Manbun, but I was told that it was a stopper cartridge and thus not necessary. I was glad to save my shoulder, and reduce rifle weight for hiking in those hellish Ozzie Alps. I even got to take a very large drop bear at an adjoining property.

Well, I hope you used Woodleigh Hydros or Cutting Edge Bullet Raptors to take the beast! A .35 Whelen with a 250gr bullet at 3500fps would have been preferred, but too late now!

To my amazement the flat earth people reemerged after a few hundred years of proving it is a sphere. One killed himself with a steam rocket trying to get high enough long enough to photograph the earth when it turned sideways. It seems his parachute failed and he splatted on the round side of the earth. Good thing it wasn't turned flat edge or he would have flew past the earth and out into never ending space.

This adventure occurred in Australia didn't it? I believe I read this somewhere and Townsend Nelson @Bob Nelson 35Whelen was the pilot of the steam rocket. But, he survived alive and well and continues to torture us on AH, even though his camouflaged tutu was torn a little bit from his re entry from space. The bottle of Bundy and jar of Vegemite in his daypack saved him from total annihilation. The alcohol reduced his need for oxygen as he hurtled from space and the vegemite greased the rocket to protect it from burning up upon re entry.
