Gentlemen,
A question for the group on the Whitworth Mark X 98 series. I'm considering an as new, probably unfired .458 with all the "Express" style goodies.....
What is really turning me off (especially as a possible DG rrifle), is the small flat metal slide safety.
It's the 2 position style, which is fine, but it's small flat thin and the grooves are not aggressive. I must have pushed it back and forth 50 times while handling it, but in my mind I'm thinking it would be VERY easy to miss under pressure.
I'm sure I could have an aggressive tab welded to the pad to make it more sure, but just curious if there's a "fix" out there that I would be interested in?
