I hunted with them for my first safari a couple years ago. Terrible news, he was way too young to go. Tyron and Annemarie treated me like family for twelve days , I met their two boys and had a great time. Very sad to hear, my condolences to his friends and family. I just received a phone call from a different outfitter I hunted with in the same area where Tyron is from, he said Tyron died in a diving accident. I have no way to verify that, but as I said in my original post, whatever happened was sudden and tragic, so perhaps that is what happened.

Very tragic, and I will add him and his family to my prayer list.

But. It is a rare day when I man gets to die doing something he loves doing. Those of us who hunt and guide DG know the risks, and that's part of why we do it.

I made the mistake of looking him up on facebook, and it is just absolutely heartbreaking. He has such a young beautiful family.

Please make sure to keep us updated if there is any type of fund raiser set up for the family.

I made that mistake when Philip Smythe of Ivory Trails in Zim was killed 2 or 3 years ago by an ele. Beautiful, young family, 2 little girls and a bun in the oven.
