I was fortunate to have hunted with Jason twice, on the first package deal taken by one of us here at Kanana in 2012 and then again the following year. I got to know him and Claire pretty well and always thought a lot of them.

This comes as quite a blow on a very tragic day overall. My heart goes out to Claire and baby James. I have a grandson his age and shared with Jason my hopes of the 2 boys someday hunting together. I hate knowing that he will grow up not fully experiencing what a good man his father was. Perhaps one day some of us who knew him can share some of our experiences involving Jason with the lad.

I have been in communication with someone who attended the memorial held at Tholo yesterday. Everyone is devastated and for the most part still in shock. Continued prayers are needed for the family and everyone at Tholo.

I haven't been online much this week and just seen this very sad news. I feel like someone just kicked me in the stomach. I hunted with Jason on my one and only safari. My brief time spent with him will always be with me. He helped make a dream come true. My prayers and thoughts with Claire and James and the rest of his family.
