Impala hair I believe so far is the softest I have taken, well maybe excluding a civet and caracal. Rewind...impala is the softest of the antelope I have taken.

I absolutely agree on the hair being like velvet. I have made a lot of pillows out of impala and wow, I'm here to tell you they are soft.
