I have recently decided I would like to try and hire a videographer to film our safari this summer. I looked at Safari Production that does Tracks Across Africa and all of Boddington's videos. They obviously do a great job but holly smokes their expensive. My ph mentioned iGala productions who I believe are located in SA anyway. Has anyone used them or know anyone who has? Are they reasonibly priced, do they do a good job, etc.... Any info would be appreciated. The more I've thought about it the more appealing having the trip filmed to preserve the experience for us and future generations has become. I have filmed hunts on a limited basis and have a little ( and I mean little) experience with it but it's very hard to film and hunt at the same time. Especially on a hunt like this. Thanks

some time back there was a thread on here , started by some fella that does just this .
from memory he wasn't that expensive.

good idea tho gizmo , l always have the big idea of taking lots of pics and video , but when the times right im never ready
or cant pull both off .

a tracker could make some good pocket money , learning to do this on the job .:A Bulb:

Your right, if a tracker or gun bearer got good with a camera he probably good make some serious dough.

Hallo Gizmo,

Igala Productions, (Puren Joubert) did my marketing video a while back at it is time for me to do a new one anytime soon now. Have a look at the link I post and decide for yourself. As far as I know they did shoot some stuff for Animal Planet and National Geographic as well.

Enjoy it. Should you want more info on them you are welcome to contact me.

Dankie Loodt, Ek sal 'n blik! Thank you for the info, the more I've thought of this the more I'm leaning toward hiring them.

Sure looks like top quality video to me. And BTW Loodt, brilliant job of grabbing an opportunity! LOL

Excellent video and from the looks of it you have a very nice place. That is a very well done video. I love the lion yawning and the black wildebeest playin around. Awesome thank you.

Plesier (pleasure) @gizmo I have used them once, and I will use them again. Their speciality is outdoors and most definitely Big Game Filming.

Gizmo,
I can recommend iGala productions. They also did my promotional video. Very professional company with loads of experience. The cameraman that I used from iGala has left them since. He has recently started up by himself, and I will be happy to put you in contact with him. His work is incredible.
He does the filming as well as the editing and producing.

Take Care,
Marius Goosen

Thanks Marius. If I use iGala I don't have to pay for their daily observer fees through my ph as he will take care of it for me. Thus I will just have to pay their rates. Ya'll have been most helpful, thank you.

You won't be disappointed. Great stuff!

IGala productions are fantastic. I have used them on two safaris in Tanzania and the videography and production was outstanding. I cannot recommend them enough. They are real professionals.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
