I need help with the price guys .. Heym .460 W Magnum.. unused

How about posting some photos of your targets. Weatherby rifles generally come with skinny barrels ostensibly to keep the weight down I guess. As a result they are always the best shooters. I suspect that Heym probably put a heavier than normal Weatherby barrel on your rifle. Just for giggles how about posting a target of three consecutive shots and then one with three cold barrel shots. P.S. I'm glad it is your shoulder and not mine. LOL

I have not forgotten about it .. I just had to leave for Russia for an urgent meeting .. when I return will post all the info ..

Understood, running an operation as large as yours is almost a life consuming effort. I suspect leisure time is something you wish you had a lot more of. I just reread my post. Unfortunately I omitted a key word. The skinny barrels used on Weatherby rifles result in them NOT being the best shooters. Did you see the video on AH of some notable hunter shooting a BIG BORE with over 200 lbs. of recoil and then saying that the worst kicking rifle he ever shot was a 460 Weatherby?

This rifle is heavy and with a very thick barrel .. as for recoil I will let you know :-))

The 460 is off the 378 case along with the 416. Great thing about the 460 is the wide range of bullet selection and weights. Mine has the Pendleton Break and recoil isnt as bad as a 378. I'm going to shoot my 505 Gibbs with 525 grain bullets and shoot my 460 with 500 grain and compare the two. I always have a big bore with me anytime I go on overnight hunts in Alaska. Your Heym is AWESOME!

We decided to walk away from it :)) because of the caliber..
GOOD decision... anyone that has fired such a rifle ( I have) will not want to again!!!

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock
