I feel like I got robbed by someone!

Here is a new twist with the airlines. They are now charging $50.00 extra if you request a aisle seat.

6 months before safari is my norm to purchase tickets. Many times, I have my agent periodically check prices to see where they are going.

I look back to 2002 when I started safaris and the tickets prices have stayed relatively stable.

I travel quite a bit every year. I watch the prices and if there is a significant price decrease like you are talking about, I just cancel the reservation and request a refund for the unused ticket, or put the ticket amount in my account to be used later, and then immediately buy a new ticket at the new lower price.

They allowed you to sit next to the emergency exit!!! :E Crazy::A Up To Something:

I booked my flights to Namibia, paid what I had to and have never revisited to find out if the price had changed.
The airline will never apologise and offer a refund and I see little point in winding myself up about it.

There are enough people in the world who can do that.......!

The latest twist I just encountered was packing so many people into the plane that my knees actually had to be raised to sit in the seat.
Big mistake to not check the layout of this new direct flight.

Another lesson learned. A plane is not a plane, is not a plane!

Right everybody I have probably booked and paid for more flights than any sane soul ....... The zero sum gain on airlines is zero they have never made a collective profit ....... ever ....so they have computers and wise people who program them .....you decide whether to buy or not it is a trade same as Starbucks for a coffee you want coffee more than you want the dollars same deal with airlines.

So what I am saying is take it on the chiN sometimes you win ......sometimes you lose

Chin hey!? The chin is preferable to the alternative.

After learning my last lesson I just booked a flight looked at the seat configuration online as I was booking and asked for the aircraft design flying both directions.
Did my seat selection and booked. Safe to say my knees will be safe on this next flight. :)

Appreciate your opinion boys.......:ROFLMAO:

Same thing happened to me this year. I purchased my tickets last Oct for my March 2015 hunt. My neighbor purchased his tickets in January this year for the same hunt and paid about $600 less. It sucks but so do the flights if you sit in the no class section of the plane (where I always get stuck sitting). That $600 would have been another critter to hunt.

I just checked on flights to SA and found no difference in the prices I from what I looked at a Month ago

I have my first safari booked in late June/July (five people, my wife, two sons and a good friend with Kuche Safari in SA, I book my air tickets with Travel Express, their name came up in several articles, and they came highly recommended. The tickets were bought in September the earliest time possible as recommended by Travel Express (Lori Spears) Last week I saw South African Airway dropped their prices, I went on the website and the tickets were reduced by $741.00 a ticket, $3700.00 for my group. I called Travel express today and they told me there is nothing they can do, the tickets are non-refundable, I also called the airline and was told the same thing. I feel I got 0 customer service on both ends.
It wouldn't be a big deal if it was a few hundred dollars, but $3700.00
I'm really feeling I got screwed by someone.

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.
