While on holidays in New Zealand in a nice town called Taupo a little old lady was out for a drive.
Said Lady turned into the local library and mounted a large rock in her small car. The car wasn't going anywhere. There were 4 young strapping lads working nearby and we offered to lift her little car off the rock. She said how nice, thank you.

Enter stage left an over zealous bossy council lady { read stupid greenie bitch}. She told us we couldn't help as it was on council land and she didn't want anyone hurt. The car probably only weighed 500# and could easily be moved. Shit I hate these stupid people.

Now the story gets real funny. Council lady asks old dear if she is in the AA.
Old lady say yes and gives council worker her phone and asks her to call them for her. She says she has MACULAR DEGENERATION AND HAS TROUBLE SEEING.
The wife and I find it hard not to laugh at the stupidity of the driver and the council worker but laugh we did.

I think WHAT THE no wonder you hit the rock what the hell are you doing driving.

It depends on the stage the macular degeneration is at and it may have only been effecting her close reading ability such as reading her ph contacts list. There are large print book at the library.
From the interweb.
If you have macular degeneration, you may still be able to drive safely during the early stages. Your eye health care provider will tell you what to do to manage your symptoms so you can stay safe on the road.

@Von Gruff
Gary the mind still boggles at the thought. She wasn't wearing glasses and couldn't see her phone to dial it so don't know what stage she was at. It was a good 600mm diameter rock and she didn't see it.

Certainly not "having a go" Bob, and agree on the whole of your post but thought to add that little rider as I know that any of the progressive maladies dont all start out as they finish up .
Hard to believe that the four strong guys didn;t just lift the car off anyway as one decent heave and it would have been done.. Typical of the greenie lot who will always cause more added costs to anything and everything they get thier stocky fingers into.

Can't comment; my neighbour is a Kiwi, best neighbour/mate you could wish for.

My brother in law and I didn't see eye to eye because of my sister. After she died he didn't have to listen to her bullshit about me. Now we get on great. I'm sending car parts over to him for his custom car build he can't get in NZ and he even lent my wife and I his 4x4 for 3 weeks free of charge while we were there. He is a great bloke.
Pity my sister stuffed things up for 30 years or we would have been mates years ago. He's a mad hunter as well. Doesn't even like the 243 but love his Savage 308. Smart man.
