Must have lost my mind. Now I'm going to rattle the last three brain cells with bigger recoil.!

If I'm at their booth I'll be asking for some alternate front sights. Just options for a little later near to dark.

I'm not about to change it out. So far, you squeeze it and the pin seems to go forward.
Seems crisp and smooth enough to me.
I saw all those adjustment screws in the instruction manual.
At least the trigger is not set at 14 Lbs. like my brothers Ruger was.

This single set trigger idea seems interesting. Should stop any flinch someone could develop.

I may figure out how to polish the action up a bit. Just so it's a little smoother.

Brick, have you thought of using H4350 or 4831? 4895 seems like an awfully quick powder for a cartridge of that capacity and bullet weight. From what I see you could get higher velocities with less pressure going with a slower powder.

Just going with Barnes tried and true recipe to start.
They suggested that the most accurate load was with 4895.
We'll see.

I agree, I set the trigger on mine this summer just to try it out and hated it but you are right you can adjust the trigger.

I have never gotten used to using a set trigger, but the basic trigger is a good one on a CZ. I just worked mine down on this 7x57 and its nice. Of course to some, anything over a pound and a half is horrible, but having spent some time shooting service rifle matches where a trigger must be 4.5 pounds...well anything less seems really light to me!

The set trigger is WAY TO LIGHT on a CZ 375 H&H and it more than surprised me. Years ago I had my 7mm Rem Mag Win Model 70 set to 3 pounds and that seemed perfect to me. Plus that gun was easy to adjust too!

I'd swear the one on the 416 Rigby I had would have been measured in ounces. I can remember thinking "WOW" when it went off, better be ready for that next time. Then the next time, it was "WOW" again and never used it again.

I think any trigger takes practice to get used to.
Anytime I borrow a rifle with a heavier trigger I wonder if the safety is still on when it does not release!

On this rifle it seems to be about half the weight required (and less travel) to release the regular trigger.
I have all my rifles set at 3Lbs so it is not the far down to 1.5.

The point of a set trigger IS to be very light guys. I don't care for them either but that's the reason for them. The set trigger on the CZ is adjustable as well.

Put a box of Winchesters through the barrel this afternoon.
You know when you pull the trigger but the recoil is not bad at all.
Shoulder feels just fine with the recoil pad supplied.

Shot off hand at various targets. Including a 10 pound half inch thick steel gong at 50 metres. The impact threw it around like paper in the wind. Grass, dirt, wood chips spread around liberally.
Fellow standing beside me commented on the apparent power of the impacts. I had to laugh.
No kidding.

I love the trigger. Crisp and clean and pull weight down where I like it.
Thankfully, I dry fired the set trigger at home. I agree, it would have been a surprise.
Don't touch it unless you are ready to go.
I'd use it in a rested situation without hesitation. With a little practice I would feel quite comfortable with it.

The controlled feed action has a feature I love. I can slide one down the tube and the bolt can be closed.

I shot a "controlled feed" action that could not do that little trick. We had to use a "stick" as an extractor to get the cartridge out. Live and learn.

It fed the bullets well in quick succession. It was not a race though.
I'll see what happens with some round nose at some point.

Cheaper than Dirt has a sale on Remington Safari Grade 375 H&H with 300g A-Frames. They are a great round in the 375 H&H and very accurate in our rifle. I can't think of a better expanding bullet for the 375 H&H. I bought 3 boxes for $40 each

Sounds good so far Wayne. Add flat nosed solids to your list of bullets to run through it.

With regard to the CRF trick. In the past I've heard of extractors breaking by forcing them that way. I don't think I've ever heard of that being a problem for CZ's, but you never know. Either way it is putting some stress on the extractor.

I can do the same with my M70. But instead after filling the mag, I hold a 4th in place with the spring now fully compressed with the round half way in the mag. I then push the bolt forward of the bottom rounds and let the fourth pop up into the bolt face. No stress on the extractor that way.

the only ammo ive ever seen on sale down here is .22lr and shot gun shells.
where l live we get the odd lot of projectiles on sale .....
