I like your choice of rifles. I own a similar 404 Jeffery that I used to drop a nice Eland in its' tracks in July. My buddy keeps hinting that he'd like me to buy his 450/400 Merkle 140 but so far I've been able to resist.

Contrary to popular believe there is nothing wrong with a Merkel Double Rifle, I’ve had mine for 15 years and no problems. Then again I own 6 CZ 550 and never had a problem. My Merkel shoots 1 out of each barrel 3/4 inch apart, day in and day out
