I now have to wait ten days to taker it home!!! It’s in great condition. Only wear mark on the inside grip area of the wood and a small area on the trigger guard. A little bluing should fix that. Feels awesome in my arms, heavy and incredibly well built double. Almost have my recipe ready to reload. Just got the projectiles a few days ago.

To put the wait in context, I've "pulled the trigger" on a Krieghoff Classic Big Five in 470NE this week, however it will take 8 months for the gun to be made and imported and then another 6-9 months for the licence in SA...

They are wonderful and every one should have the opportunity to try them deep fried at least once.

Congrats! I have same rifle and caliber as well and i love my 375 H&H just as much! LOL! If you must sell your 375 give me as shout as i might be looking for one for my son! Congrats on the DR...you chose a dandy!

Very cool none the less.

I don't want to hijack this thread. In short, it will be a very plain gun described as a working gun. No engraving and a slight upgrade on the wood.

I just purchased my first double rifle. Krieghoff 500/416 double with hard case 2016 In like new condition. I’m planning on going back to Africa in two years for crocodile, hippo and Cape buffalo.

(I think I’ll sell my Winchester 375 h&h when I take possession of the double.)

I just picked up my new rifle from the fll. I’m still excited. Factory Ammo will be here this weekend. I have everything to start reloading after I fire form the cases.
I’m giving the 375 to my son as we are now planning a trip back to Africa to get Cape buffalo and hippo and maybe crocodile too.

Well it was my anniversary weekend, I gave my wife of 24 years a beautiful necklace. When we got home today I drove to the ffl dealer and picked up my double. After playing with I finally told her what I bought?? First words out of her mouth was how spectacular the wood is!!! It’s a beautiful rifle and the case is super nice as she bought me that brand of case for my 1911. Double rifle really does mean buy you one buy your wife the same in kind!
