You have a VERY solid hunting SUV.

I'm driving a 2004 Lexus GX 470, and, so far, it has been the best vehicle I've ever owned.

and I've owned:

1972 Toyota FJ40
1974 Toyota FJ55
1986 Toyota FJ60 - still own
1968 Land Rover Series IIA
1972 Land Rover Series III
3 Jeeps (all junk)
Dodge Ram Diesel 4x4 Truck - still own

I don't particularly like trucks, because I don't like all of my gear to get dusty or stolen, and I've never found a way great way to prevent it.

Also have owned some Landcruisers:

1972 FJ40
1986 FJ60

Still Have:
1993 HZJ73 - great back country truck
2001 100 Series (my road car)
1996 FZJ80
1947 CJ2A
2001 F350

All my vehicles are "hunting vehicles".

I've been happy with my 2023 Toyota 4 runner but have been looking at the new land cruisers but not crazy about them being a hybrid.
@wvfred - I agree with your concerns about Hybrids because when that battery fails it’s a $7000+ replacement. But, last year I purchased a Toyota Highlander XL “Hybrid” and heres why: 1). 10 Year/150,000 mile warranty on the battery - Not prorated. 2). 36 mpg City & 34mpg Hwy (correct - gets better Mileage City) AND after a year and 24,000 miles it really always gets that mileage or better (500-550 miles range between Fill Ups). Very pleased so far. I would NOT get a full EV but like the Hybrid for the excellent mileage without being totally relying on a Battery. However, the horse power is lacking (4 cyl engine) and I would NEVER TOW anything - or at Most 1500 lbs.
It also has moderate Off Road capability, AWD, decent ground clearance, better on a wet road then a pick up truck. For a cross Country hunting trip with 2 guys, 2 dogs, gear, and Not going too far off road - I would not hesitate to use this vehicle, the gas mileage alone on a 2000+ mile trip would save $100s. It’s Not a real “Hunting Rig” like my Ram 1500 but for most hunts it would be great.

I think the last GREAT Landcruiser was the FZJ 80... just about perfect (with lockers), solid front axles, coils springs all around and a ton of torque.

Here's another 'hunting vehicle'...

A Lexus... a Land Cruiser with more trim and softer suspension? I like my 100 series as a road car and sometime off-roader. For the rough country locally i use my HZJ73 - tough and cheap to run. I set it up with gun box/gear storage unit and 2 dog aluminum kennel box. Works for me.

Hello,

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?

Thank you.
