Hunting the Tiny Ten

OMG!!!!!! Please tell me that's not the actual uniform. :E Lol:So our short weren't quite that bad.

dam marius you were only to dig them out or even show that picture when brickburn was in camp. Dam now I must go dump gas in my eyes and try and burn that picture on of my mind again. I almost feel tougher in my pink tee.

Gizmo it is ok I have seen some of you texas guys in shorts like that to. I just made sure I got out of that area real fast .LOL

Right. I refused to wear them. I don't care how hot it was. Thank goodness they aren't approved anymore.

It was for a good cause. However, I'm not so sure why my face is so red:D Cheers:.

Marius the one guy in the pictures was pretty smart he has almost his whole face covered with his hand. did the old fake sunglasses needed pushed up trick.

You would be really rocking it with those blues shorts and a nice pink tee though.

I said it was for a good cause, not Homo awareness.

Hey I was just trying to help you dress up for your wife. LOL That pink tee gets the ladys as long as there eye sight is not to good.

I was wondering if it is possible to hunt all ten species of the tiny ten in one safari?
Sure can. You just need the time.

If so how long would it take and what would it cost give or take? ...............

Lets make some assumptions:
7 days minimum for each Outfitter
per hunt.
This will include some travel days for you.

We'll stay in RSA and Namibia for the sake of simplicity.
Duplicate offerings are in italics
(Switching Outfitters just to bug Jaco)
Using Marius' in the EC, Leeukop in KZN, LBG in Limpopo and Ozondjahe in Namibia.

NAMIBIA
• Damara Dik-Dik
• Steenbok (also known as Steinbuck or Steinbok)
• Common Duiker (also called Gray Duiker or Bush Duiker)

KZN
• Suni
• Red Forest Duiker (also called Red Duiker, Natal Duiker or Natal Red Duiker)
• Common Duiker (also called Gray Duiker or Bush Duiker)

LIMPOPO
• Sharp's Grysbok (also called Northern Grysbok)
• Common Duiker (also called Gray Duiker or Bush Duiker)
• Klipspringer

EC
• Blue Duiker
• Cape Grysbok (also called Southern Grysbok)
• Oribi
• Common Duiker (also called Gray Duiker or Bush Duiker)
• Klipspringer
• Steenbok (also known as Steinbuck or Steinbok)

If you only take one of each of these tiny ten you would be hunting for 28 days.
Total including Day Rates and trophy Fees from published rates: $25,070.00 USD.

Marius just throwing this out there but I think you and your crew should pick up brickburn in the airport wearing them blue shorts. ................

I am safe. Self Drive option is being taken. :)

Ouch. That's a leopard hunt. There again in May be less expensive to try and pick the little buggers off a few at a time on trips I would be on anyway.

I myself think that could be done in the time frame brickburn layed out but that is with everything going perfect and taking what you see and not holding out for better then avg trophys. Hunting for better then avg. size could make a hunt go longer and cost more depending on what quality you want.

That is a worst case scenario or switching Outfitters and taking a bloody long time to collect them all.
There is also an opportunity to do some other hunting within that little scenario.

These are mostly collector species and the trophy fees reflect that.

beats bill's estimate offer of $50,000. 50% discount. :)

Well then brickburn I think you should surprise marius and get out of the car wearing a pair of those blue shorts. Just make sure you fine a pair that is your size as marius size would look like booted shorts on you and that is just wrong.

Right, that's still a leopard hunt. A springbuck slam seems a little more feasible.

Just what you choose to chase. I am on the repeated hunt, need more excuses to return plan.

Hell, I'd rock the booty shorts and pink shirt just to see the look on y'all's face.

Yeah and I never end up costing more what the hell did I do. My hunt would come with a pink tee so maybe it would even out. I did figure on going to moz for some but hell it can be done cheaper then I thought that's for sure.

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!
