I will be hunting lions in the NW Province this May. Do they have them there and are they on a quota there? Would be a nice add on animal.

I'm not sure if there are permits available in the NW Province.. I have seen them there but I shot mine in the Limpop0.. I did Lion hunt in the NW Province on the same trip though..

You can apply for a permit in NW, however they are extremely difficult to obtain.

Honey Badgers are common in many parts of Zimbabwe, The Bubye & Save Coservanciesbeing two such such places. They can be hunted at night with a light ( very exciting and you will see many predators, large and small).

Peter you had some bothering you on your Leopard hunt. I am sure you might be able to obtain a permit if you applied for one.

Bossie, I tried, they say there is not enough research on badgers in the area.

This is exactly what we had in our area, till I showed proof of how many there are in different locations.
I hung 2 to 3 baits on 5 different farms where I new there were Badgers. After 2 1/2 weeks I went back with all the trail cam pics to show them what was going on in the field.
Now we are able to apply for permits and have the successfully issued. In the pat they would not even conceder our applications.

Here they do not even look at cam pics.

Screw them then I will go to their superiors, my office knows that to well.

The Bubye Conservancy in Zim has plentiful honey badgers. You can bait for them but lions and/or leopards may get there first. I called for hyenas at night and we had two adolescent lions, and later a leopard respond to the the calls. Exciting stuff! Did get a hyena, though, saw many. The best way to get a honey badger is to drag a gutpile behind truck late in day, then go back at night. Also shot a genet and a civet that way. Good Luck.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
