Hunting dogs

Here's an old photo. My previous Lab at age three months. She was doing it all: pointing, flushing, retrieving. Opal was remarkable.

And one of her last birds at age ten. Cancer took her quickly six months later.

Love this thread. Pleased to introduce Auggie, a French Brittany. He has a great nose for birds. Good temperament. Comes deer hunting, too. He’s named after Gus, our late Drahthaar, who was a genius on game, and the greatest dog I’ve ever had. He passed after 14 years and I miss him every day. Auggie has some of his spirit.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
