Hunting and Safari books

Bill Morkel is no stranger to hunting East Africa in the 50’s and 60’s. He was a big proponent of the 7x61 S&H, 8x60S - a Mannlicher and a .458 Win Mag.

Great book on East African hunting I’ve read a few times over 20 odd years.

$70 and I cover DHL

Guys, please feel free to suggest lower prices. I realise the DHL portion ads to the cost.

Not safari/hunting related but in the same vein of books not commonly encountered here- Do you know if this is a relatively easy book to find in SA these days?

Thank you, Dewald. That's good to know.

The copy I showed is on loan from a South African friend here in Pennsylvania. I have yet to read it (I have 8 or so boxes of books I need to get caught up on) but thought if I enjoyed it enough I'd like to have my own. I'm sure he'd pick up a copy for me on one of he and his family's visits home but I would hate to ask as he doubtful would allow me to pay for it. Thanks again. Marcus

Marc I hear you. I can send you all four books for $130, including DHL. I will confirm DHL prices, it might be $10 less or more, but working on 2kg (500g per book) $130 should be very close.

If you only want oom Schalk Lourens i can send it for $55 including shipping

I appreciate the offer, Dewald. I'll know better after I read it whether I want my own copy or not. All the best.

Good as new copy of this book. $30 and buyer pays postage

Sold the following:

1. Shoot straight and stay alive - Fred Bartlett

2. African Dangerous Game Cartridges - Pierre van der Walt

3. Portraits of Game and Wild Animals in South Africa - Capt. W Cornwallis Harris

Please speak to me regarding any of the other books, we can shave off a fair amount from the price, and if more than one ships together it saves cost.

Both these books should arrive at my place in the next week. If shipped individually with DHL, and I carry cost, both should amount to about $85 per book. I really wish there was a more cost effective way to send them to the states, but the cheapest DHL rate starts at R655 or US$36…

You can buy the Bartle Bull Book above through any local U.S. on line book service. No need to order it from overseas. I have had my copy since around 90-91.
