How much I love my wife...

My wife moved my .458 Lott tonight so she could snuggle with me. I was amused to see someone I love holding something I love. So I snatched it away from her and said "1 of 13 and you're one in a million. Be right back!"

Forrest,
Your kind of scarying me. Where exactly was your Lott when your wife had to move it so she could snuggle with you? Hmm? Ha! Ha!

My Lott was laying in the love seat next to me. There's nothing wrong with that. Unlike some fortunate souls I do not sleep with my rifle. Haha!

My wife is also one in a million. When she saw me looking at a Krieghoff Big Five, she said "That's beautiful, you should buy it." There are many other reasons for my opinion. The person I was married to 25 years ago wasn't. There was some GOOD in that relationship: my two kids and she left ALL my guns. The BAD, she took everything else. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing better than a good woman and nothing worse than one who is not.

my wife didn't have brothers and her dad didn't hunt or fish. She immediately loved fishing with me.
She'd go hunting with me some, but took her a few years to want to do the hunting/killing.
One of her favorite things I've ever bought her is her Savage LadyHunter rifle in 7-08 and another one is her crossbow.
She's hunted on 2 safaris and is hoping we can go again some day.
She doesn't care how much I spend on hunting and often encourages me to purchase hunting items I feel would feel guilty for purchasing.

This is just really one of the ways she is perfect for me.

I love that! I’m going to try the same thing! Or not? Maybe the status quo would be the better option?

My wife was kinda stingy about me spending money on guns and stuff, until about 2008.

Then Obama happened and she saw the light.

I have had pretty much an open checkbook ever since!

Doesn't hurt that the kids are out of school and earning their own way. :)

Thanks Obama! Ha! Ha! And now it’s happening again on a MASSIVE scale! My wife watches the news about some states closing gun stores and the unavailability of finding ammo anywhere locally, so she doesn’t say much when I order ammo or an occasional firearm mostly on line. It shouldn’t be this way! But fear of the unknown future, real or not, is a powerful incentive to be somewhat prepared? Not paranoid, just cautious? There are at least 10,000 background checks in queue and a seven day backlog here in Colorado!

Everytime there is BAD NEWS, my wife asks: "Do you have enough bullets." I respond that I do and she encourage s me to get more. Being a good husband, I take my wife's s consel seriously.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
