Merkel 140AE .450-400 3" N.E. , Beretta Silver Sable 9.3x74R, and ( not sure if this counts?) Krieghoff Trumpf Dural Drilling 16x16/ 7x57R with .22 WMR insert barrel in the left side shot barrel.

Zero, and doubtful will ever own one. Now double shotgun, one can never have too many of those, always looking.

Was out walking the dog and remembered #10 Searcy 470 NE nice rifle shoot well but already have several rifles in that power band so sold it to another AH member.

Dave,

I was reading your list, and the only one I knew was #10:).

Since I was late to this thread, I figured it would be posted by you or another AH member.

As for me, I'm bolt trash and have none. I try to stay away from doubles. What I don't know doesn't cost me money.;)

Just one. Krieghoff in .470 NE. Just added a Trijicon RMR. No modification to the firearm so I can return it to absolute original condition in a minute.

I have my Kgun in .470. I am happy with it as a hunting gun but maybe down the road I would add a classic double of some kind, funds permitting.

Wow, that is a pretty personal question. :ROFLMAO:

I have been mildly obsessed with double rifles ever since I first shot a Kreighoff .470 NE at a local SCI double rifle shoot several years ago. I guess I am up to seven right now :Wideyed:

In order of ascending bore size:
1. Westley Richards Droplock - 7x65R
2. Rigby Boxlock - 9.3x74R
3. Rigby Rising Bite - .470 NE
4. Rigby Rising Bite - .500 BPE
5. Rigby (CA) Boxlock - .500 NE
6. Westley Richards Droplock - .577 NE
7. WJ Jeffery Snaplock - .600 NE

All are vintage prewar rifles except for the Cali Rigby Boxlock.

Now THAT is a list.

My oh my... that Droplock must be like a magic wand with a small action and 7mm barrels. Please post some pictures.

I have not been able to take good pictures of it yet but here is a video describing it. Very nice little gun.

Coincidentally, it looks like a baby next to the 577 NE Westley which looks small next to the .600 Jeffery.

After buying , shooting and hunting with my first Verney Carron in 577NE about 7 years ago, I fell in love with both VC and double rifles. I now have a few and am absolutely loving everything about them.

I might be proven wrong someday, but I truly believe that they might also be a good investment.

.

Best part about them, is that all have them have put one of the big 5 in the salt.( I’m very grateful for that)

Wow! Very impressive collection and display. Especially the fact that they have all taken a member of the big 5. I would be very grateful for that as well.

What is the weight of the small body 450-400NE if you don’t mind me asking?
