How do you determine what to have mounted and what type of mount?

Unless truly wealthy, eventually we all run out of space or money for more space. Photography, or as others have suggested - videography, is great alternative. Or we can quit hunting. I know two people who went to Africa, had life changing experiences, and won't return because there is no more room for the taxidermy. To me that is insane.

I build photo journals on Shutterfly after every hunt (or vacation with my spouse). When I pass on, all the mounts , Euro and full, become a burden. But hopefully, a grandchild someday may actually enjoy thumbing through a book about his or her grandparents' adventures.

I have seen you post these before, and it sounds like a good idea to me, did you start these after having several mounts done or right off the bat?

Thank you to everyone for the reply’s, good info.

Started these with my first African hunt (2008) when I discovered the on line tech. However, prior to that I made traditional photo albums of mine and then our experiences for nearly fifty years. I will still have an animal mounted - but it is very selective.

Just completed one of or Viking river cruise last October.

Sir, I think I have been writing to you about the purchase of the HK 639 rifle under an email "Tt Jake." If this is you, then I am truly interested. I am just trying to verify identify. Tt Jake is asking for a cash transaction. No disrespect intended, Just trying to verify who I am talking to. Thank you. Respectfully. Dan

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
