Here is a couple of bullets that we recovered from my muskox. They are 165 gr. GMX. I was going to use Barnes but my rifle will shoot the 165 gmx sst and interbond to the Sam point of impact as the have the same ballistic coff. and sec. density.

Looks like they worked great! My wife shoots the 139 gr. GMX in her 280 Remington. Whenever we’ve been able to find one that’s exactly how they have looked. She has had great success with them in 4 trips to Namibia

I have been using Barnes TSX.
I would use the GMX and/or Nosler monolithic if they shot well in my rifle.
I just started with the Barnes and have had no reason to experiment.

Reloaded to a little over 3000fps. Shot him at about 50 yards

I am curious as to what cartridge, velocity, and distance. The bullets look like excellent performance.

I am thankful to Hornady for reviving and maintaining some of the more non-mainstream cartridges with brass and factory ammunition. Also for their work with new cartridges, whether or not they are my cup of tea.

I have purchased some factory loaded Outfitter 7mm WSM, 150 grain GMX. Hopefully these will group well in my rifle. Once I have time and the weather cooperates, I will see how this rifle likes them.
I had planned to hand load the Barnes 150 TTSX for this rifle and 7mm Rem. But, I like having a factory load that is suitable. If these shoot well in this rifle, I may locate some GMX for hand loading.
I also see where they are making brasss for the 7mm WSM.

Just weighed them one weighed 162.5 and the other 164.4 grains.

Looks to me like they performed excellente......was looking at some other options for my next hunt but may give these a shot after seeing your results. Thanks for the post and info!!

I've been using the 165 gmx in my 300 win mag for 2 years now. Superformance factory load. Best load I've tried so far.
Totally pleased with results having taken 2 pronghorn, 2 mule deer, 1 whitetail, and 2 caribou. No bullets recovered.

I was using a Ruger model 77 in 300 RCM loaded to 3020 fps in a 20 in barrel.

Looks text book. Ideal performance, do they do the same on smaller game. Gmx like the Barnes have been given some unfavorable reports. I have I used the TTSX but was wondering about the gmx. It's good they are the same as the sst.

I've been very pleased with the gmx like I mentioned above. Superformance ammo chrongraphed at 3180 from my sako .300 win mag. 165gr also.
Closest shot was a whitetail at about 80 yards quartered to me.
Furthest a mule deer buck at 400.
Also used on pronghorn and 2 caribou bulls.
No bullets have been recovered and no animal went more than 10 yards
