Hi Guys and Girls, good afternoon.

Here is a interesting YT presentation by Johnny from our Local gun shop, though he did go to another gun shop called Sportarm to do the presentation. I have no links at all with any of these guys. Nice to see a few shots on the range them, I thought very nice if you have a spare £12K or $16K going. My husband is still keen on a Heym Express though, so have a coffee and sit back and enjoy, shame they weren't in the Bushveld though,

You beat me to it. I follow TGS and watched this yesterday and was going to post it on AH. Definitely an good video from an interesting prospective given that he is a big shotgun guy.

Classics are more relevant than ever, they are going to be the only thing that hold their value for the ages and its unlikely governments will be taking high end classics sporters away from people, much like classic shotguns.

I completely agree with the guys statement about the things (rifles, shotguns, etc) that we use on these adventures with friends are woven into the fabric of the story. My friends and I call it the pageantry of safari.

Literally just watched it 20 minutes ago :E Big Grin:

So I’ve always kind of felt the same way about expensive bolt guns. I get that they are a work of art, but I can’t see the practical value in them.

I do enjoy hunting with iron sights, but I don’t see many people taking these to Africa without a scope.

He's good, he did one on Blaser the other day as well.

Jonny is as pleasant and funny in person as he is on camera. I had the pleasure of breaking bread with him in Portsmouth.

Excellent video. Thanks for posting @Novice Huntress.

A few takeaways from it. Why not take this rifle out every day for hunting and make it a utility rifle? I understand that it's a beautiful piece of work, and I'm not suggesting that it be abused. However it's about the same as those top quality watches that get worn on a daily basis. I say take it out and use it, make ALL the memories with it and enjoy it as much as possible. Then, of course, give it a proper cleaning.

I remember a Porsche commercial from the 1980's. It's pouring rain in the Bavarian Alps. A winding road is cut through the lush green forest on the side of a mountain. A lone car is seen braving the conditions and carving up the corners. Close up of the front tire ripping through the water around a turn...the water sprays from the side of the wheels...wipers move in slow motion aiding clear sight...a hand tightens its grip on the steering wheel while the other shifts gears...a smile across the face of the driver enjoying his drive. This lovely scene goes on for nearly 30 seconds. At the end..."PORSCHE, one beautiful day after another".

A simple reminder to enjoy the finer things in life at all times.
