Well.....
I went with my lovely wife to SCI for the first time in many years. We have a buffalo hunt scheduled for June.
Walking into the hall, whats the first thing I see? The Rigby booth. Large neon lights pointing downward with a halo above (I may have exaggerated a bit here)
We walk up and I look like a kid in a candy store. The last thing I *need* is another rifle, particularly one that is WAY outside of my norm (super accurate, long range stuff).
I fondle a couple of rifles, wipe of the drool and put them back.
Then....a 416 Rigby sitting in the rack, looking like a puppy in a kennel waiting to be adopted. I pet it. It likes me. I put it back.
Wife says "would that be good for our hunt?". Uh, yeah.
I managed to leave without a purchase and now I wish I had filled out the adoption papers and paid for its shots. Given it a loving home where it would be used, but not abused. Never left outside in the cold alone. Fed regularly. Cleaned as needed.
What's a guy to do....?
