I'm from Spain and I want to make my first ever hunt game in Botswana. I heard, back in the day, that my king did a safari tour with Jeff Rann. I wanted to know if he's reliable and a good value of money experience.

Thanks guys!

I may be mistaken, but I thought that that safari was with Tony Sanchez-Arino and took place in NG 43 with Kgori Safaris. Werner Lombard was with Kgori at the time and now runs Bokamoso Safaris. He would be a good place to start for information on hunting in Botswana. I believe that Bokamoso is owned by one of your countrymen.

:S Welcome:

I inquired a few years back. If memory serves me correctly, there is a big premium to hunt with Jeff. He has a standard price, and then there is an up-charge of 20-25k to have him as your PH.

The king of Spain hunted elephant with Rann in 2012 and it turned into a media firestorm.

Rann, charges $500 per day extra to be your PH.

I must be mistaken on the hunt referenced. I know the royal family hunted with Tony in NG43 but it must have been a different hunt. I do recommend you chat with Werner.

Welcome to AH Joan carles!

True and true. I hunted next to Bokomoso last season in a concession rented by Jeff .Bokomoso is a farm rather than a concession.

You can get in touch with the Botswana Wildlife Producers Association with any questions that you may have . The secretary will point you in the right direction.
(Hope I’m not overstepping again Jerome?)

Welkom !

Albeit am still not certain this is real account or first class trolling. Mentioning the king and than has the user name Joan Carles. Seems close to Juan Carlos, the king mentioned.

Or maybe I am getting paranoid :ROFLMAO: :P Detective:

The king Juan Carlos eventually abdicated after that hunt because of public pressure.
So, if you are a man of carrier, and public figure this is not recommended.
But, if you ask me, if I had the money to hunt with Jeff Rann, I would in a heart beat. He runs operation in one of the best safari areas in Africa. And is one of the most famous professional hunters today. There are only few names in safari world in his level. Top notch.

But dont think, that some of the sponsors of this forum couldn't offer same quality of experience.
First safari, and going for big game, possibly elephant is a big fish to fry. Do you have some previous hunting experience?

Welcome aboard!

I would contact Jose Garcia Escorial in Madrid. He would be able to answer all of your questions about this topic.
