I did a search and didn't find anything obvious, but wanted to ask the group. I have a CZ 550 Magnum. Dropped it off at a local gunsmith to get cerakote, barrel band and the bolt handle straightened and filled. He was hesitant to do the bolt work (and I appreciated his honesty), but now I need to find someone who will. Since I can now just mail the bolt to whomever to get it done, any suggestions on someone quality who could do it? I'm in Georgia, if it helps. Thanks for your ideas or suggestions.

This is a helpful start. Thank you! I'll reach out and see if he might do the bolt fill...or just weld on a new bolt knob. I appreciate the information.

I am considering filling my bolt with epoxy. If You clean it well, it will stick with very little chance of falling out. It may be an easy fix.

Before you do that, I reached out to Tim Ditmore at Matrix and he offered to take care of my bolt for what I think was a very reasonable charge. And fast. And he couldn't have been more pleasant to exchange emails with. If you are interested, give him a shout.

That's fantastic! He sent me pics of it with the work done and it does look great. Now just waiting on cerakote. Can't wait to get it back. He's also doing a fine job of talking me into another project!

I was thinking about doing that but decided to do something different and filled mine with a zebrawood plug I turned on drill press. Back then the rifle had a zebrawood fore end tip. It now wears a different stock with ebony tip. I will probably pull the zebrawood plug and fill the knob with black epoxy.
