Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some real-world insight on current Heym delivery times for custom doubles. I’ve heard that typical lead time is around 18-24 months but I also know someone who’s been waiting over 26 months and hasn’t been able to get any recent updates on the status of their build.

This is just my only data point, and I can’t find much solid info online. Is this kind of delay common with Heym right now, or does it sound more like an isolated situation?

Appreciate any firsthand experience or recent timelines others have seen.

My 500NE Double was over 24 months; that's why I bought the 416 Rigby which arrived in the same shipment.

I wonder what delivery times were 100 years ago for a double rifle? Anyone have a guess?

Seems to me having anything done, a complete build or just a custom feature addition takes a year or two anymore from anyone.

Add 6-12 month past whatever you are quoted from Heym USA. I ordered a 89b in 450/400 and it was almost three years to delivery I was quoted 18-24 months. I have a 89b in 577 on order now and it is past due by months origin delivery dated was July/Aug 2025. I hope this helps.
The 450/400 was ordered in 2020 and the 577 was ordered in 2023

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.
