Welcome to AH! Please let me know if there's anyway I can help you plan your hunt.

Hi NDWoods, I live in Zimbabwe and have hunted a buff in the Save, it is great. If however, you are up to a diamond level African buffalo hunt head to the Nyakasanga in the Zambezi Valley. It is hot even in winter and there are tsetse flies, but it is as hard core an African hunt as you will get - I will go one day. No fences, truly wild everything. Expect to pay a bit of a premium though, and get fit.

Welcome to AH !

A good idea not to make any list on your first trip, concentrate on your buff, and then just relax and take what Africa offers.

Welcome to AH. So many people on this site willing to answer your questions.
It’s great your family is encouraging you.
As Wesheltonj suggests Zimbabwe would be a great choice for buffalo. The BVC was where I took the buff in my avatar and I hope to get to the Save.
Namibia or RSA for plains game (buff available in areas in both of these as well).

Welcome to AH! You’re in the right place!

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!

Hello. If you haven't already sold this rifle then I will purchase. Please advise. Thank you.

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock
