Hello all from the hills of northeast TN. I’ve been an off and on hunter since I was a kid, mainly small game and birds (with dogs). I had opportunity to work in South Africa in 2008 and have always wanted to go back. A good friend got me back into hunting, shooting and reloading and will be taking my first hunting trip to SA in about 3 weeks at the young age of 59! Can’t wait to meet everyone that made trip possible (Trophy Game Safaris, the guys at Hammer Bullets and Giving Back TV)

Welcome to AH TNDave! Have a great hunt and journey in South Africa. Hope you'll share your time with us here upon your return.

Hello and welcome!

Enjoy the hunt!

Welcome to AH!

Welcome @TNDave I see you are from my neck of the woods. I live in Southwest Virginia right next to Tennessee and Kentucky boarders. I myself am leaving in about 3 weeks for my first hunt in RSA. Hope you enjoy your hunt.

Welcome to AH, enjoy your hunt!

Welcome to AH, Dave !

Welcome to AH! Enjoy the site.

Have fun.

Welcome to AH.

Hi Dave welcome to AH. What part of northeast Tennessee. I'm near Johnson City.

Have a great time in SA.

TNDave, glad you joined us. What part of South Africa will you be hunting? Are you taking your own rifles or renting? What calibers, do you reload? Have you been shooting of "sticks," their use is expected in Africa. Be glad you are able to start hunting Africa so young, hopefully that will allow you to get more trips in during your lifetime.

Will be hunting Limpopo area. Taking own rifles, 300 WSM as main and 6.5 creedmoor as back up. Right now load 223, 6.5 creedmoor, 270, 308, 300 WSM, 338 ruger. Hoping soon be loading 375 ruger and having 280 Ackley Improved built. Yes, have been shooting off sticks, probably have close 1,000 rounds and will be taking my own since used to them. Hopefully this will be first of many trips.

Welcome to AH! Very pretty country you're from. Occasionally I've been known to make the NASCAR pilgrimage to Bristol.

Welcome to AH sir! Hope you have a great hunt.

Good luck and shoot straight. Make sure you take lots of pictures so you can post when you get back

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
