Hello from Colorado, New to AH

Welcome!

This is a great place to learn and do your planning. Enjoy!

Thanks to everyone for the warm wishes. I have already read and learned so much, but I know I have more about Africa to learn. I'll have to see if there are more posts about spot and stalk bow hunting as that is my preferred method. Sitting on my butt and waiting for animals to come to me doesn't work well. I'm too antsy and can't sit still for that long.

Welcome Lrntolive from another Person from Colorado

You will find many places that will take you out spot and stock with a bow but don't put sitting in a hide off the list. It isn't the same as being in a tree stand hunting a whitetail it is like being at a shopping center. Check this picture out not great but see some of the activity that could be in front of you.

Welcome. Enjoy the planning - it's part of the adventure. Lot's of people with great knowledge, experience and willingness to help.

Welcome to AH Lrntolive! Get ready, this place is addictive!

Thanks all. Great to see another person from Colorado Bfsh300. Love the picture. I'm not completely against the hide, but I can't sit still for long periods of time. My wife complains about it all the time. I just prefer to spot and stalk or still-hunt, like I do elk here in CO. Nothing against anyone else's technique of sitting in a hide or using a rifle, I just have my preference because of my nature.

Welcome to the forum @Lrntolive

Good choice to start looking for outfitters and planning your African safari from. Enjoy the site and begin your narrowing down as to what province you would like to hunt in and thereafter your outfitter.

Regards,
