I'm working with an outfitter in Central Texas that is running some helicopter hog hunts. They are great fun and he has lowered the price for a short time to our clients. If you have never done this before it is fantastic and here is an excellent opportunity to try it out without breaking the bank.

This may be a great trip to make during the DSC show.

Hunts are conducted Jan - March and include chopper, ammo, firearms, training class etc. The package can be split between hunters if you choose.
2 Hour Package up to 2 Hunters $4,000 Discounted to $3,000
4 Hour package up to 4 Hunters $8,000 Discounted to $6,000
6 Hour Package up to 6 Hunters $12,000 Discounted to $9,000

Not included is TX hunting license and Lodging, meals and lodge available on site $100 PP (includes adult beverages).

We are booking fast, if you are interested please let me know.

So that's how your still able to hunt hogs with all the rain you've gotten down there.:D

It sounds fun but it should be called a shoot instead of a hunt.

@jeff i won't disagree with you. But it's the most fun y can have with your clothes on.

@spike.t we are flying an r44 so two shooters at a time. Ammo and guns included!

james just out of interest how does the package work, i presume you get 2 hours per 2 hunters with 2 hunters per helicopter, but how are those 2 hours split in flying time?

Real simple Mike.

You hand James your credit card, then we both get in the helicopter, and....

:V Chainsaw:

Not that I'd do it. But what is the round count likely to be?

Sounds great!!! What is the average number of hogs taken per hunter? What part of Texas?

:W Machine Guns::P Cowboy:Sounds like a blast!

Sounds like a great time!

@Eddie P round count is usually pretty high. With everything in motion, its more like suppressive fire. I would say round count will be 150-200 PP

@Mark19707 average is 18-20 per hour. Most of the hunting area is south east of Dallas. They are hunting crop and range land.

@spike.t you will be in the air for two hours. If they have to refuel it is not counted in the fly time.

thanks james its something i would love to have a go at and will try and sort out sometime.......finn likes the look of it but its a long way to come for a couple of hours.........:(

James, any updates on someone volunteering to purchase a 4 man outing??? If so...:A Callme:

All kidding aside hopefully some AH guys can take advantage of this!

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.
