Has anyone had taxidermy done in a different country than you hunted in Africa?

I have seen very few full body mounts I cared for. Even the very best seem to have mixed results. I’ve actually come to the conclusion that I would flat skin a leopard.
Interesting, I feel that way about buffalo mounts. Take a simple skull as many are over finished and look like a show cow.

Message sent. For what it’s worth, after 14 trips to Zim: Andy Hunter for dip/pack, and Vince Pegg for taxidermy and curios in Bulawayo.

Above all else, never TCI. If you don’t believe me, stop by for cocktails and I’ll show you $10,000 in unpresentable work from their firm assuming I wouldn’t be back 14x and have a big mouth and a good camera.
Pardon my ignorance but what is TCI?

If I’m hunting in Zim or Botswana (or wherever), can the taxidermy be done in South Africa and then shipped to US? What about something that requires permits like leopard? I’m wondering if any of you have experience doing that? I was thinking specifically of using Life Form taxidermy in SA.
Yes. Did Moz trophies through RSA taxidermist then shipped on to the UK. Cat, too. No worries. Just use a reputable company. Good luck.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
