Wishing all our fellow forum members a very Happy Thanksgiving Day.

We unfortunately don't have turkeys in South Bengal (which is a real pity because I absolutely love to hunt & dine on them whenever I'm in the USA). So my family & I settle for the next best thing- Freshly roasted & stuffed Bar Headed Goose hunted by yours truly.

The entire family prepared different elements of the dinner. And it would have been completely perfect if my mother had baked a blueberry pie instead of a lemon meringue one. But ah, well. I can't complain.

Have a great one with the family & friends.

Warmest Regards,

Happy Thanksgiving! That good looks wonderful!

In the early morning hours of Thanksgiving Day, 1943, then Adm. Bull Halsey ordered then-Capt. Arleigh Burke to counter a Japanese reinforcement to Bougainville.

The order from Halsey read: “THIRTY-ONE KNOT BURKE GET ATHWART THE BUKA-RABUAL EVACUATION LINE … IF ENEMY CONTACTED YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO.”

In the ensuing battle, Burke destroyed all but one of Japanese ships, thwarting Tokyo's reinforcement of Bougainville—with not a single US sailor's death. Halsey later called the battle "The Trafalgar of the Pacific."

Is the USA and much of the western countries of the world we truly have much to be thankful for. We eat well every day
We have shelter be it a farm, house, apartment or bunkhouse/ dorm / barracks.
We have employment.
We are relatively safe in our daily lives.
And we have opportunities to improve what we have.

My lovely Zambian born leopard woman wife (Don't make mad!) has a coworker who recently married a woman from Zimbabwe. No, I couldn't make up a story like this... Anyway, we invited this family of Harley riding American he-man, Zim Shona wife, and her 10-year old daughter who arrived here only 2 weeks ago to what will be the females first American Thanksgiving dinner.

Tonight there will be turkey, ox tail, bison, shima/pap, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes , sweet potatoes, pies, and gosh knows what else that my darling Bemba princess (of the Chitimakulu (royal) clan) arose long before I awoke to go deer hunting to start preparing.

Today we share with family and friends.
Let us all remember to continue sharing with others, especially in our tips to our native (black) African trackers and camp staff. A few extra dollars to them after the hunt feeds their many children.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Enjoy some time with friends and family that’s long overdue with some good food and quality drink. Cheers.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Don't forget to say a little prayer for those who are away from their families in harm's way protecting this beautiful and fragile freedom we enjoy today.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! It will be beef brisket at our house, a well as venison and pork tamales. Hope everyone has a wonderful day of celebration with their loved ones.

We started early this morning with a spatchcocked turkey and some chicken breasts to fill up the smoker.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
