..some forum members on other forums mentioned I should not mount a handgun scope on a .375 H&H Magnum caliber rifle...your opinion?
If your eyes are good, then the red dot will probably suffice. Its what I'd use if I was to go back to hunting with my SBH. Just be sure to get one with a small, very bright dot, one that won't obscure the entire vitals zone at 100 yards. Myself I use Burris scopes almost exclusively on my TC encores and contenders. I have a 2x Leopold on a 44 mag barrel, would not be my first choice, lenses are much smaller than the Burris use, restricting the field of view.
