Halloween rifle survey! (What would you choose to finally save Haddonfield from Michael Myers?!)

M1 Carbine, 30 rd. mag. ball ammo.

FN-FAL

Probably my Winchester 30-30 trapper....... Because I live in Australia, Even against a pure evil psychopathic killer, our government still would still have all the good guns banned.

I bought an AR in 1978, when I was 13. (It was the first check I ever wrote, and I also had the coolest parents in the world!)

So, I'd go with my old Colt SP1 with a Surefire 60 or 100 round magazine.

Myers wouldn't stand a chance.
You could even throw in Jason Voorhees and Freddy Kruger, just give me 50 unobstructed yards!

I'd save Kruger for last, if he were related to Paul.

He might have something interesting to say.

My choice is a 105mm howitzer :)
Ha! And we'd made is so far down the list without anyone really breaking the rules yet! (OK, the mini-gun, but still!

On a more serious note, is that a 7 or 8 foot barrel? If you someone miss that first shot at class range, there's no way you're maneuvering for a follow-up, Michael is gonna get you.

I feel like an SKS would be a very logical, and common 1988 solution. I’m honestly surprised I haven’t seen it here yet.

I've got a BLR in 7mm Mag, with a few spare magazines I can carry with me. Sounds like as good of an option as any. Fast, reliable loading, enough rounds for follow up, plenty of power, and maneuverability in close quarters.

And, would a Glock 40 be allowed as a side-arm for this discussion? 15 rounds of 10mm seems like a good backup plan.

Dumb Lucky I'd day. The bear obviously habituated to scrounging for people's goodies. Been around a bunch of them both black and brown/grizzies. Can't trust them and that was too close- the people were too nonchalant and stupid. In the end the bear will lose because sooner or later that bear will swat someone and have to be killed. Or get shot by some nimrod carrying inadequate protection, usually a pistol, will panic, shoot it, the bear will run off and die or have to be tracked down and killed. These stories usually don't end well.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
