Considering a trip to Namibia next year. Can anyone recommend a nice and convenient guesthouse in Windhoek in case an overnight is needed there prior to the flight up to the Caprivi?

Hilton down town doesn’t seem bad. Guy a shared a Namib camp with said he has stayed there a few trips.
Modern and in a nice part of town.

I’ve been to Namib a few times bet never used a guest house. Sorry for lack of info.

I have stated at Hotel Pension Christoph a few times either on the way, or returning from the Caprivi. No frills place that suited my needs. The owner/manager was very nice and I would stay there again should the occasion arise.

Another vote for the Hilton downtown. Nice, clean, comfy and a friendly staff. Small street vendor, open market and some basic supply stores just across the street and easy walking.
I needed a new charging cord for my phone and a staff member walked me across the street and helped me find and purchase a replacement.

Try "House on Olof Palme Street" Owner is Renette Bronner
A first class guest house with a great breakfast and a wealth of knowledge about hunting (her husband is a PH and still takes some clients on special hunts)

and a quick search looks like same or less than the Hilton
The next time I hunt the Caprivi I'm going to stay a couple extra days in Windhoek, and I'll look forward to staying with these folks

I have used the Thule several times. Always nice and a good restaurant on site.

I stayed at Casa Piccolo in 2016 and 2022, and was very happy both times. Most customers are from Europe and it has a very euro vibe. Breakfast is excellent. Claudia runs a tight ship and is very accommodating. In 2016, she stored our rifles when we fished for five days. Nothing super fancy, but highly recommended.

Another vote for Renette Bronner. My wife and I stayed there after our Namibia hunt. Great room, great breakfast, and now great friends.

Surgeon1 and hunt4fun = I totally agree with them - also my recommendation

If you're lucky and the owner Dries Bronner isn't out for hunting, you're sure to have fun, talking about hunting with him. Dries has his own PH-business but also helps out at Jamy Traut Safaris.

Palmquell is at the top of Klein Windhoek. We stayed there in May this year. There is a gun store a few hundred yards away. The price is very reasonable and the A/C works and breakfast was fine.
I should add that Joes Beerhouse is only a short taxi ride away.
