Guess that cartridge

I have a diploma signed by him. Back in the early 70's I went to a packer and guide school in Montana and he was on the advisory board or something so he signed it.

WOW. He was kind of a hero to me. You ever read "The Accurate Rifle"? He got me hooked on the .224 Centerfire stuff and I'm still burning powder in them.

I believe I have my dads copy of that. Also have another book of his somewhere.

Still have my copy. Never bought One Man's Wilderness.

Another book from back then is Jack O'Connor's The Hunting Rifle. Still read it now and then.

One Mans Wilderness is the one I have. I also have the Africa Hunting anthology he edited. I have all of O'Connors books and all of Elmer Keiths as well, except for Safari.

Nice collection. We probably need to let this thread go back to it's intended theme.

All it takes is for someone to post another mystery round and boom, we are there.

Yep, and @Jimbob still has one in play.

Well gents it is bigger in calibre than the 220 Sooper Pooper, smaller in calibre than a 7mm, and larger cases than the 264 Win Mag.
It is also British.

.240 magnum rimless, eh

That kinda sucks. I was hoping to get schooled a bit. @TTundra I'll offer one up in replacement to keep your challenge going?

The top is a 7x57 (with a smashed partition pushed in)

The bottom is an 8 bore loaded shotgun shell.

What's the one in the middle?

Hi PaulB. Would you be interested in another WJ Jeffery .450/.400 NE 3". It's an extractor model and in superb condition, cased as well. Made in 1908. The rifle is here in Texas.

I will take the knife for $250 shipped. Please tell me how you would like the payment.

Thanks-
