Thanks for accepting me on Africahunting.com. I am from South Africa. I mostly hunt in the Freestate and Northwest Provinces. I recently qualified as a ph but still hang on to my day job though. Currently I am mostly involved in the calling of Jackal where populations needs to be controlled especially on sheep and game farms. In the past I really enjoyed your forum as a resourse on larger calibres and dangerous game by experienced people who dont only talk teoretically!

What kind of rifles and calibers do you own? Are you thinking about becoming a full time PH or continuing to do it along with your day job?

Thanks for saying Hi Shootist43! My largest calibre rifle is a CZ 550 Safari Classic in 375 H&H and my smallest calibre is an CZ in .22LR. I also have a 7X57 Musgrave build on a Brno Action and a 6.5 Creedmoore and 22-250 Rem Howas I use for longer distances and Varmint shooting. Last but not least I have a 12 Guage Zoli o/u Shotgun for birds. I also love Wingshooting especially waterfowl! I also have some handguns, I used to be a Close Protection officer in a previous life. I would love to be a full time ph if things develop in that direction. Unfortunately it doesn’t happen overnight!

We hunted Klipkraal farm, Outfitter Adam Barnard (Spitskop Safaris, Kimberley), PH´s Heinz Krause and Christo Crous.
