Greetings from SW Florida

Welcome welcome welcome

Hello, I’m Steve from Florida. Retired here from Connecticut just over 3 years ago. I’ve hunted all over the eastern US, from New England to Texas. My first trip to Africa was Namibia in 2012; wish I’d known about this website back then! I’m planning a trip to Limpopo for buffalo this May; fingers are crossed that this trip, cancelled a year ago, actually happens. Anyway, I’ve been lurking for a while and have been impressed with the range of experience and knowledge on this site, glad to be here.

Welcome to AH

Hello from Alaska and Welcome.
SW Florida is incredible.
The locals call it “Heavens Waiting Room” because of all the retired snow birds.
Punta Gorda is my favorite town on the gulf coast.

Welcome to AH Steve!

I firmly believe, that typing on small screens with large fingers and autocorrect systems that do not firmly understand an individual’s dialect of the English language are modern tools for extending grace and forgiveness. As a Texan I am fully extending grace and forgiveness for the statement above.:A Happy Wave:

However, this is an international forum and for those members that are not fully aware of the geography in the United States of America, Texas is not part of the Eastern U. S. In fact, Texas is Texas. Granted we are little more snowy, icy, and chilly than usual right now. :A Thumbs Up:

Fair enough; west Texas qualifies as “west”!

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!

Hello. If you haven't already sold this rifle then I will purchase. Please advise. Thank you.

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock
