Lp!

My name is Janez. I come from Slovenia. Slovenia is one of the countries that emerged from the former Yugoslavia. Slovenia is a member of the European Union. In Slovenia we do not know privat hunting. We know the system of hunting familys/society and some state areas, where they are employed hunting wardens and is dedicated to hunting tourism. The annual plan killing us the State. For each species we also have close seasons. At the end of our evaluation of trophies and determination of the age of individual specimens of big game. This is called categorization. I will present too you hunting in our country. In a free nature we have rhoe deers, red stags, wild boars, chamoas, mouflons, fallow deers, ibexs, bears, wolfs, linyks, wild cats, foxes, baders, hares and more... In hunting area managed by the hunter's family, whose member I am, living the next types of big game. Chamois, roe deers, red stags, wild boars and mouflons. From a little game we have: foxes, rabbits, badgers, martens, mallard ducks, jays, magpies and jackdaws. For me is the best hunt, hunt on chamoas and mouflons. So this is a brief bit about me. As we say in our country: "Good look!"/"Dober pogled!"

Hello Lovski,
Welcome to the forums. I am looking forward to learning more about hunting in your country from your posts.

Welcome Lovski,

I am an American living in Germany and in the process of getting my jadgshein. We have completed training and now wait on a testing date. I hope before leaving Europe I am able to get a trophy rothirsh and winter gam. One of our local hunters returned last month from an elk hunt in Slovenia and said he had a great time.

If you are interested in hunting Africa you have come to the right place to learn anything possible.

Again welcome,
Steve

Welcome Janez to AfricaHunting, I to will be looking forward to your Post to learn more of hunting in Slovenia. That is a fine looking Chamoa you have taken. Deb

Very cool! Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to AH. If you want to learn more about hunting in Africa, this is a good website.

I am not too familiar with the topography of the region, but I am amazed that you have mountain species there. Are these part of the Carpathian Mountains? Are the hunting regulations similar to Germany and other European countries? It will be interesting to hear more about hunting in this part of the world.

Hi Janez welcome to AH, I would like to hear about hunting in your Country, always looking for a good hunt. Bob

There is a section under Forums that lists other countries. I think there you can post some information, otherwise contact the webmaster.

Welcome to AH Lovski! I can't wait to hear about hunting there as well!

Hi!
You seem to have some truly nice huntinggrounds! My most cherished hunting memories comes from hunting chamoa and Himalayan Thar in New Zeeland, hunting in mountains surely is something special. Unfortunately the mountains here in Sweden are much to flat for my taste.

I am looking forward to read more hunting stories from Slovenia!

/M

Lovski as soon as you figure it out be sure to let the rest of us know that and where you have it posted your 2 Roebuck are better then the 7 Roebuck on my wall. Deb

Lp!

Thanks again to everyone.

I've already opened a topic in the area of the forum, which is intended to represent hunting outside of Africa.

I am totally fascinated with the black continent and hunting there. If ever the opportunity, I will definitely come to taste the African hunting big game.

Good Morning x84958
I have read your post about Jamy Traut and your hunt in Caprivi. I am planning such a hunt for 2026, Oct with Jamy.
Just a question , because I will combine Caprivi and Panorama for PG, is the daily rate the same the week long, I mean the one for Caprivi or when in Panorama it will be a PG rate ?
thank you and congrats for your story.
Best regards
Philippe from France

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
