Yeah I see that. What little snow there is may not last long. Has me a bit nervous after seeing your pics.

When do you arrive? I'm not leaving until Friday morning.

The camp is a basic cabin. Just warm enough for sleeping comfortably with a good bag.
Food was very basic. Corn flakes, sandwiches, and muskox stew.
No complaints though. He's far cheaper than any other guides at the moment. When I booked 2 years ago I paid $4200 total.
I'm unable to get the cabin picture to load but I'll try again later.

@Wade J VanGinkel - $4200 is an UNbeliveably GOOD price….in 1999 I paid $4900 for Quebec Caribou Hunt - 2 caribou, good accommodations and average food. You got a lot of “Wild experience” for your money$$

Still can't get everything to load.
I didn't mention it earlier but the guides father was along on the trip also. Not a regular hunter of the group but allowed to take one after I got mine. The hunt was a birthday gift from his son.
Claus shot a very nice looking old bull moments after mine. Even as close as we were they had no idea we were in the area and ran straight at us when I fired. I hit a rock just in front of him with the first shot but the bullet appeared to have hit him in the chest tumbling based on the energy hole. 2nd shot took him through the lungs and a 3rd in the neck as it ran straight at us.

Rifle was a Tikka 30-06 using hornady sst bullets. They work but obviously blow up quickly. No exits and 1 recovered bullet from the neck with very little left.

Nice. I spent years above the Arctic Circle in Alaska so it looks like home to me. His website seems to indicate that you can rent a Tikka or a Blaser. Did you get a look at the Blaser or know what it is?

I did not.
I'm not as familiar with the blaser so asked for the Tikka. Very weathered with a few rust spots and a 3x9 Leupold. But accurate and solid.

I'm not bringing any back but I believe you're allowed a limited amount by law if you wanted to.
We saved the back straps and tender loins.
100% of the rest they use for the dogs. At least on these really old bulls.
