Yes, that is one of the virtues I love about my M-S, the rotary magazine and feeding empty cases same as loaded rounds. I had the later Steyr Luxus model M which didn't match the M-S's for smoothness so it was sold. I kind of regret doing that.

I did the same thing, had a beautiful M Luxus .30-06 but only for a while, it was a fine rifle. Stupidly sold. Oh well, they turn up once in a while.

Congratulations sestoppelman! That 7x64 should be a dandy to have. I've a long love affair with Mannlicher-Schoenauers and wanted a M72 but, have never been able to come across one in a chambering I'd have.

One popped up on GB today, in .270 Win. Sadly a PO commissioned someone to perform their version of "art" on the butt stock!

Got this to the range today, mostly for sight in which was done with S&B 173gr bullets. It like that ammo pretty well, then tried a couple of handloads made for another rifle and they were quite tight in this rifle on headspace, but chambered and fired and looked to group well.
So despite the finish issues with rifle that went unmentioned in the listing, the rifle looks to have great potential. Shot well and functioned fine.

I left the seller a big fat C on his feedback. I emailed him days ago with my concerns, crickets.... screw that.
