I find it interesting someone came on here, creating an account to sort of flame on the thread, then running away in a huff.
I don’t think anyone said anything was illegitimate early in the thread, only that things are vague and don’t add up perfectly, simply that the person should do their due diligence.
It’s just my opinion, but things don’t add up as questions were met with hostility whereas a calm, non-hostile explanation could have led to free advertising and maybe more customers.
I know of no reputable PH that is going to reach over to a client on the cruiser and say “hey, I know you didn’t plan on killing a leopard, but there is one standing or sitting in the road, and by coincidence it’s standing presenting this gigantic nut sack which I can see because he’s that close, and I can also see in this mere second they he is clearly a mature male over 4.5 years old, in fact I’m so confident I’m betting my professional license on it, why don’t you reach for your rifle and climb on down and give it a shot right here, the leopard is going to stand there for you to do just that….oh, and on mere speculation of this auspicious event happening and me convincing you to shoot, I brought along a park ranger that we paid over a grand to have on the truck rather than trackers, just for this million to one scenario coming together”.
Ready, Fire, Aim!
Someone is needlessly selling a fantasy fairy tale to a client. It doesn’t need to be this way and it doesn’t need to be hostile. Coming on here to aggressively poke at members questioning these things politely makes it all the sketchier. You sort of leave the conversation with a bigger cloud over the hunt than when the post began. Especially as you pound your chest with your vast experiences in Zim as we are expected to believe this is a realistic situation for a client to expect even on 1% of safari hunts.
