I've seen this before and was initially perplexed; however, I learned later on that this is an old trick for visually indicating that the rifle has not been sighted in yet. The thought process is that it's an easy and obvious way to know which rifle to NOT grab in a pinch.
I saw that as well. Very nice rifle. I think whoever was photographing the rifle stuck it on backwards, didn't know any better, as multiple pics show the rifle with scope off. Maybe a young inexperienced helper at the gunshop who has tech skills but is not gun savvy.
I have an unfired T rex 577 if anyone is interested in acquiring it . Absolutely spotless, flawless and well kept . It's rare as it gets . Mouth watering ? Let me know if you feel like making an offer .
