Further concerns on use if a .375 H&H for anything at all...readers be warned

Is there a hurt feelings report I can fill out?
The 375 kicks too much
The 375 doesn't kick enough
The 375 penetrates too much
The 375 doesn't penetrate enough
I am offended by loud noises
It's not a creed more why would anyone shoot it
The 375 should be banned and only 416 and above allowed for dangerous game hunting, including ground squirrels.

It is a custom stock, found the semi- inletted stock on Gunbroker years ago. I added ebony cap, crossbolts, secondary recoil lug, recoil pad, inletted and glass bedded. Sent it out to have it checkered. Couldnt tell you where to find another like it, but keep your eye on Gbroker and Ebay for Mauser 98 stocks, some nice ones from time to time. Or give Accurate Innovations a look.
Appreciate it sir. Exactly the features I would like on mine. Thing is, I’m a southpaw, as is my rifle. Been looking at Richard’s Microfit, but just haven’t committed to it yet.

No need. Its a wildly capable round, popular and powerful for 113 years. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. More .375s have crossed the pond to hunt in Africa than any other medium bore I would venture. My original post was just because I was feeling punchy about all of the "this round is awful" posts. My beloved .375 needs no defense.

My PH in SA used a 375 CA 550 as a backup rifle for a hippo and buffalo hunt. It's all he uses for dangerous game backup except on elephant he borrows a 458 win mag. I will say he's a hell of a shot though.

I used a 375 Ruger to take a buffalo cow 1 shot in the neck. Dead 100-150 yards away with a blood trail a blind man could follow. (275 grain Sarafi Raptor by CEB @ 2880fps) My friend borrowed my rifle with same load to take a hippo @ 50-60 yards with a brain shot. The damage on the entrace would was astonishing and left a silver dollar sized hole in the front of the skull. These bullets are all I will use for dangerous game now.

Same bullet hit a water buck in the ass running away. The solid piece was found in the chest cavity. It was not a small water buck.

The H&H will do all the same things, but drop a bit more, have SLIGHTLY less effective range, and likely have a longer barrel and heavier rifle (due to action length). The differences are minute.

My .02. If you handload the 375 ruger is a superior cartridge without debate. If you buy factory only, H&H is the way without debate.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
