For Sale.

Ruger No 1 450/400 3” Nitro Express rifle. This rifle is unfired in the factory box. I believe it was made in 2007. Wood is very nice, showing some decent figure. A few tiny handling marks on the stock, but nothing very noticeable at all. Otherwise, it’s new in the box. Rifle weight is 8 lbs. barrel length is 24”.
Includes a full box of Hornady DGS ammo. Unfortunately, no scope rings included.

$2400.00 plus shipping. No Sales To California.

Excellent and top notch seller. I've always wanted to fire one of those in a #1 to see how the recoil compares to others.

Beautiful

Thanks! I had another one of these awhile back and it wasn’t bad to shoot. Basically like shooting a stiff 45/70 in an 8lb rifle.
I can send this one to you to try!

Good looking rifle. GLWS

Great find my friend.

Beautiful wood on that rifle. GLWS.

Gosh, that is beautiful, especially with the heavy barrel. If that was for sale in South Africa it would be mine already.

I think that’s the standard weight barrel. If it were the heavy barrel it would already be gone! As it is, it’s still tempting, barrels aren’t that expensive!

Yup that is the C contour barrel. Heavier than a standard Sporter barrel not as heavy as a D contour. My No. 1 in 450-400 is very pleasant recoil wise.
The price of $2400 with a box of ammo is a very reasonable price.

Agreed. I missed a D contour on here a few years ago. That won’t happen again!

Why would you want such a heavy rifle? The [emoji6][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]/[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]] isn’t hard to shoot in an [emoji[emoji6]]lb rifle, and much handier to carry around.

Personal preference. It’s still significantly lighter than my Lott!

What you are offering is an absolutely beautiful rifle at a very fair price. It should sell quickly. My apologies for the diversion on your thread.

Booked with Harold Grinde - Gana River - they sure kill some good ones - who'd you get set up with?
