For Sale.

Ruger No 1 450/400 3” Nitro Express rifle. This rifle is unfired in the factory box. I believe it was made in 2007. Wood is very nice, showing some decent figure. A few tiny handling marks on the stock, but nothing very noticeable at all. Otherwise, it’s new in the box. Rifle weight is 8 lbs. barrel length is 24”.
Includes a full box of Hornady DGS ammo. Unfortunately, no scope rings included.

$2400.00 plus shipping. No Sales To California.

Excellent and top notch seller. I've always wanted to fire one of those in a #1 to see how the recoil compares to others.

Beautiful

Thanks! I had another one of these awhile back and it wasn’t bad to shoot. Basically like shooting a stiff 45/70 in an 8lb rifle.
I can send this one to you to try!

Great rifle! Good luck with sale!

Good looking rifle. GLWS

Great find my friend.

Beautiful wood on that rifle. GLWS.

Gosh, that is beautiful, especially with the heavy barrel. If that was for sale in South Africa it would be mine already.

I think that’s the standard weight barrel. If it were the heavy barrel it would already be gone! As it is, it’s still tempting, barrels aren’t that expensive! [emoji41]

Yup that is the C contour barrel. Heavier than a standard Sporter barrel not as heavy as a D contour. My No. 1 in 450-400 is very pleasant recoil wise.
The price of $2400 with a box of ammo is a very reasonable price.

Agreed. I missed a D contour on here a few years ago. That won’t happen again!

Why would you want such a heavy rifle? The [emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]]/[emoji640][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]] isn’t hard to shoot in an [emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]lb rifle, and much handier to carry around.

Personal preference. It’s still significantly lighter than my Lott!

What you are offering is an absolutely beautiful rifle at a very fair price. It should sell quickly. My apologies for the diversion on your thread.

I have one identical with a Leupold on it. Killed a cape buffalo and an American bison with 370 gr CEB Safari Raptor. Great rifle.
Buy this one and you’ll have a spare in the event an elephant steps on one of them during your tuskless hunt? LOL

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

X5i scope is perfect - thanks for an easy transaction! Buy with confidence.
Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike
